Back to barracks, says Minister Yadav to NA security
CPN-Maoist leader and Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation Matrika Yadav on Tuesday sent the Nepal Army personnel deployed for his security back to barracks.
He also padlocked the rooms of the Ministerial residence in which the security personnel were staying.
The Nepal Army personnel were returned as his request for more security personnel for his Ministry-concerning trip to Janakpur was turned down, according to the CPN-Maoist Minister.
“When I asked the army personnel to provide security for my trip to Janakpur, they denied it citing that they hadn’t received orders from the senior army officials. So, I asked them to leave my residence saying that I won’t need their security anymore,” said Yadav.
“However they hadn’t left my residence when I returned from my Janakpur trip and this morning I asked them to leave and padlocked the rooms,” he added.
Minister Yadav informed that he will resort to security from the Maoist army if he is not provided with the necessary security during what he labeled as a ‘risky period’. (c) kantipur
